A South African based group, Association of River State Indigenes in South Africa has
sent a thank you message to the immidiate past governor of River State, Barrister Nyesom Wike for developing River State.

According to TBE Magazine, the  group also congratulated River State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.

In a congratulatory message signed by Hon. Okey Kelly Ugorji, 
the President and other members, the group wished the governor a fruitful tenure.

Kanu who is facing terrorism charges at the Federal High Court Abuja, has been in detention since he was repatriated to Nigeria, from Kenya in June 2021, under controversial circumstances.
