I WILL BUILD TWENTY FLYOVERS WITHIN FOUR YEARS IN ABA - KALU IJOMAH
I WILL BUILD TWENTY FLYOVERS WITHIN FOUR YEARS IN ABA - KALU IJOMAH
Abia state traders, businessmen and artisans are in for a business friendly environment in 2023 and will no longer need lands and buildings as collateral to access loans.
This position was made known in Aba, the industrial and commercial hub of Nigeria during a town hall meeting organized by traders in Aba. Kalu Ijomah, the Abia gubernatorial candidate of National Rescue Movement (NRM), also known as paati mmanú añú in a town hall meeting supprised Abians as he told them that all anyone doing business in Abia state needs to access his administration's zero interest loan is a confirmation that he or she has been into such business for a period of ten years.
"If I become the Governor of Abia state in 2023, everyone doing business in Abia will be happy. I will provide zero interest loan for business owners and manufacturers. All you need to access this loan as collateral is an evidence that you have been doing this business for at least ten years. Someone who has been in the same business or trade for ten years has proved that the business is worth doing, what he or she needs is encouragement to boost it. In my administration,
I won't require land because our land would be for commericalised agriculture, not to obtain loan".
The NRM Guber candidate said that what he needs to develop Abia state will be sourced from the state. "I will not borrow a dime. Abia state is blessed with human and mineral resources. We will produce what we will use to construct our roads, build our offices and make our own vehicles. All we need to build flyovers and industries, non would be sourced outside Abia. We have our youths who are ready to work. Abians will develop Abia state by themselves, like this we will create and distribute wealth".
Kalu Ijomah stressed the need to reconstruct all the roads in Aba, build new ones and beautify the commercial city. "By the time I become the Governor of Abia state, Aba will take a new lasting look. Aba has a master plan. We don't need to build new drainage system, all we need to do is to clean and upgrade the old drainage. Aba roads and drainage system is perfect, you just have to revisit the old plan in order to get Aba working again. We will build twenty (20) flyovers in Aba. I have the development plan already. We will build one flyover at Aba main park, one at Ngwa road by Port Harcourt road, another one at Alaoji (express). There will be two flyovers along faulks road, one between faulks road by Okigwe road and faulks road by Osusu, the second one will be around Ariaria market. There will be one along Ngwa road, maybe around Ahia Ohuru (new market). Down to Ikot Ekpene road, Ogbor hill, there will be one at waterside and one at Opobo junction. Let's I forget, Aba waterside will be turned to a world class recreational park. Omoba road will have one around Obikabia junction. Two flyovers will be constructed between Bata to Abayi Umuocham. I won't be able say all here now but there is a plan to build about 20 flyovers within fours in Aba alone. We will also build in other areas. Meanwhile all the roads will be like the ones we have in Abuja and Port Harcourt, very wide".
"People don't like traffic jam. When the roads are good and free of traffic jam, more people will come into Aba, when the do, businesses will thrive", he said.
