IKONNE IS TOO OLD TO RULE ABIA STATE, HE IS A GREATGRAND FATHER - KALU IJOMAH
The Governorship Candidate of National Rescue Movement (NRM), also known as Abia state, Kalu Ijomah Ukeh "Abia Messiah" has challenged Professor Uche Ikonne, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to a live debate on television, pointing out that Ikonne is a retired and tired old man who should be enjoying his retirement at home in peace, playing with his great grand children and watching cartoon flims, other than planning to increase Abia problem which was created by his master Ikpeazu and PDP.
Kalu Ijomah Ukeh said this in his campaign office in Umauhia, Abia state on November 4, 2022 while interacting with news men. He noted that with the high rate of underdevelopment in Abia state, the state does not need a retired and tired old man to further compound it's problems, but a visionary youth who has the political will to rescue Abia State from the hands of those he described as Wicked rulers.
" In Abia, the rate of backwardness we record on daily basis, especially with Okezie Ikpeazu's confused administration, where workers are being owed more than 3 years salaries, pensioners and senior citizens are left to die of hunger, higher institutions are neglected and turned to glorified secondary schools,
no motorable roads and nothing is working. They are Wicked rulers who are only after themselves. It will be suicidal for Abians to
allow a retired and tired professor to further compound our problems. This man should be at home in peace, playing and watching cartoon films with his great grand children other than planning to multiply Abia problems.
It is only in Nigeria that retired and tired old men who are supposed to go home and rest are brought back to lead. Uche Ikonne was a former Rector of Abia state Polytechnic Aba, with no positive impact added to the school.
I thank God that Abians are out to take back their state from PDP. I challenge Professor Ikonne to a live debate".
Kalu Ijomah noted that Okezie Ikpeazu's led government is the worst in the history of Abia state. He called on Abians to rise up and rescue the state by supporting National Rescue Movement (NRM). "Ikpeazu's tenure is the worst in the history of the state. There is nothing to show in his eight years in office. With the huge allocations that comes in as oil producing state, huge borrowings and high internally generated revenues, there is absolutely nothing to show for it. This is not a time to complain anymore but a time to remove PDP, a time to install true leadership which NRM represents". Kalu added.
